Job Details

IT Financial and Metrics Analyst is a self-motivated Technology Finance Analyst who will own the technical financial portfolio. Candidate will be responsible for providing visibility of IT related spend across brands and for all IT departments and will identify opportunities for improvement or cost-savings.

The ideal candidate is a creative and detail-oriented with a demonstrated track record of ownership of IT financial portfolios. Candidate will be responsible for understanding current spend, financial commitments, and forecasting upcoming spend along with business needs. In addition candidate will formally establish an IT Metric program to foster a data driven culture within IT. He/She will be responsible for building new business processes and streamlining existing processes and will be the subject matter expert of IT financials from systems and processes perspective.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively strategizes with IT Department heads to understand financial needs of the organization
  • Owns and maintains the broader IT budget and associated actuals, tracking spend by vendor, team, project, and business unit
  • Monitors and reports on spend associated with key IT initiatives working in conjunction with internal stakeholders
  • Understands delineation of operating and capital expenditures, working with Finance stakeholders.
  • In partnership with Vendor Management team, assists in cross functional supplier selection activities
  • Provides fact-based recommendations to executive level management
  • Assists in the management of key IT supplier relationships and contracts with the guidance of senior team members
  • Works across IT departments to establish an IT scorecard/dashboard to communicate key operational metrics for each IT department; owns analysis and distribution of dashboard based on agreed upon schedule

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 5 years of budget management or financial analysis experience, within large IT organizations preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience
  • Financial background, preferably a CPA or CFA
  • Strong negotiating skills with the ability to adapt and improvise
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Proven ability to influence and align with a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
  • Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties
