Software Engineer

1 year + Contract

Detroit, MI

On this contract, the Software Engineer will be joining a team responsible for programming diagnostic equipment used in the automotive industry. A successful candidate should be able to develop, implement, and verify diagnostic and flashing systems for powertrain electronics. In this role, you will primarily be developing Windows based software applications.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • 3+ years of development experience
  • Experience with .NET technologies
  • Experience with C# and XML
  • Experience of integrating diagnostic content (e.g. repair procedures & wiring diagrams) with diagnostic and flashing tools is a HUGE plus
  • Understanding J1939/CAN, UDS communication protocols would be an advantage
  • Experience with electronic engine controls is a HUGE plus, too
  • Experience with iOS/Android application development a plus
  • Proficient with Windows 7 and Windows XP operating systems
  • Good analytical and logical problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated strong verbal & written skills
