The Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Sabancı University invites applicants for a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor position in the field of computer vision.
Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. degree in electronics engineering, computer science or a related field, with strong publication record in computer vision as well as high potential of outstanding teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates who can bring new research perspectives to FENS, and also demonstrate the potential to collaborate with existing FENS faculty members will be preferred.
Research areas of interest range across the whole spectrum in computer vision, in particular, visual object tracking and recognition, 3D reconstruction, visual modeling, image and video understanding, video analytics and visual data mining, as well as other imaging modalities and processing. Application domains of interest include, but are not limited to, defense, security, robotics, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, biomedical imaging and biometrics.
Evaluations of the applicants will begin on September 1, 2019. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled, but no later than the final deadline of March 1, 2020.
