Quark Software has an exciting opening for an in-house full-time graphic designer. The position will develop creative for print and digital campaigns that support marketing efforts including sales enablement, events, social media, Quark’s blog sites, and Quark.com. The ideal candidate will bring an understanding of print and digital design and excel at telling stories visually.

The role will cover a range of design including but not limited to creative for product collateral, sales presentations, infographics, campaigns, social media, responsive Web, and software demos. This is a great opportunity for a dynamic designer to play a key role in Quark’s creative department as we grow the emerging B2B software category of content automation.

This position is based in Denver, Colorado, reporting to the Global Communications Manager.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Presentation design: Quark’s enterprise sales force is at the hard edge of driving growth. Your job is to make them look good and ensure the concepts and messages have the maximum impact.
  • Infographics: A well-designed infographic can simplify a complicated subject, bring data to life or turn an otherwise boring subject into an engaging experience. You’ll need creative flair and comprehension to design infographics that drive online engagement.
  • Web and mobile design: Work alongside Quark’s Senior Web Designers to create Web graphics as well as prototype overall responsive Web approaches that drive engagement and action.
  • Collateral production: Create print and Web PDFs in multiple languages for a range of collateral types including datasheets, brochures, white papers, case studies and ebooks.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain Quark’s brand guidelines and work within the team to ensure they are followed.
  • Work with the campaign team and field marketing to develop creative as required.
  • Support event participation with booth graphics and specific collateral requirements.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years minimum design experience with an agency or within a corporate environment
  • Degree in Graphic Design.
  • Understanding of modern Web design – notably responsive design and UX.
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills – able to convincingly sell ideas and concepts.
  • Multi-tasking and agility – ability to manage multiple tasks and successfully execute projects under a heavy workload and changing conditions is critical.
  • Outstanding design, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Must work well individually and within team environments.
  • Assimilate information quickly, make decisions and act appropriately in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Software experience: QuarkXPress and/or InDesign, Microsoft PowerPoint, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch.
