Required Skills

  • Associates Degree in related preferred, not required
  • Proficient using Lotus Notes and MS Excel
  • Must have experience with cooling fans, voltage testing and other electromechanical components
  • DC or brushless motor experience a plus
  • Environmental / NVH testing experience required

Job Description

  • Fabricate prototype automotive electric engine cooling fan modules to print specifications
  • Communicate with engineering and conduct destructive and non-destructive tests per customer specifications
  • Design, build, and set up test stands
  • Monitor multiple tests ranging from a few minutes to several months
  • Record data, compile test reports, and write test procedures to ensure repeatability in Lotus Notes / MS Excel
  • Instrument vehicles with thermocouples, shunts, voltage sensing, install portable data recorders, and perform road tests for benchmarking
  • Complete airflow performance tests on fan assemblies and measures airflow restriction of heat exchangers
