DESCRIPTION
Penn State Hazleton is seeking International Student Orientation (ISO) Leaders for fall 2019. ISO Leaders are responsible for assisting new international students transition to university life and to American culture during the International Student Orientation program and Welcome Week events in August. These paid student employees will complete training prior to assuming the following duties: establish positive and supportive relationships with international students through availability and mentorship during the international students’ transition to Penn State; familiarize international students with the programs and services available to students on campus with emphasis on those resources that specifically support the international student population; assist in the delivery of programs and services. The successful candidate will be a good steward of Penn State Hazleton with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5. The successful candidate must be available for all ISO and Welcome Week dates. The successful candidate will also pass a background check, grade check, and student conduct check prior.
