Golder Associates Inc. is currently seeking a Civil Engineer for the Marquette, Michigan location. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with highly skilled professionals in the field of Civil Engineering. Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Provide civil engineering design utilizing Civil 3D software;
* Perform office tasks such as engineering analyses, engineering design, construction recommendations, and report preparation;
* Assist project engineering staff in developing construction documents;
* Work with project teams on civil engineering projects that involve field work, data evaluation, engineering analysis, soils laboratory work and report preparation;
* Conduct field assignments, such as construction quality assurance, drilling supervision, borehole logging, test pit logging, site reconnaissance, and construction monitoring;
* Project assignments will include up to 50%, mostly local (Great Lakes area), travel; and
* Summarize the findings of the field assignments for input into engineering reports;
Job Requirements:The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with at least 3 years of experience;
* EIT is required.
* Strong civil site engineering skills;
* Strong computer skills and experience with industry standard commercial computer software including: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and other related engineering software applications.
* Detailed oriented with strong analytical skills, problem solving skills, and a positive attitude as well as the ability to work both independently and on teams;
* Must be comfortable in remote settings, with a can-do attitude, and a willingness to perform a variety of tasks as needed to complete an assignment and satisfy project demands;
* Must be eligible for employment in the U.S., possess a valid driver's license, and pass a pre-employment physical including drug screen and pre-employment background check; and
Relocation is not available for this position.
