WHO and WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You will have financial accounting experience, ideally within a corporate environment, and be CA or CPA qualified or studying towards this. Intermediate MS Excel skills and exposure to large ERP systems (JDE or NetSuite) are essential, along with the ability to work independently and provide backup to the Finance team when required.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager and liaising with key internal and external stakeholders, you will be ensuring accounting requirements are prepared accurately and on time, including but not limited to reports, lodgments and reconciliations.

A brief snapshot of what you’ll be doing…

On a monthly basis:

  • Managing month end reporting and balance sheet reconciliations including payroll accruals & leave provisioning
  • Review of monthly payroll for 6 entities based in Australia, UK, Singapore, Switzerland & Canada
  • PAYG withholding lodgments
  • Contribute and oversee the financial accounting month end close in accordance with agreed timelines. Perform journals for a group of 6 companies
  • Maintenance of the fixed asset registers
  • Provide support and guidance to the AR and AP functions

Each quarter:

  • Prepare and lodge all Direct and Indirect Tax requirements
  • Preparation of income tax journals for quarterly reports

Annually:

  • Assist with preparation of year end accounts which comply with statutory and audit requirements
  • Maintain statutory records, including all company office document lodgments for all group entities
  • Preparation of the audit file

Also, you will be required to participate in other ad-hoc or project work in accordance with Virgin Pulse policies and strategic direction. Also, lead a continuous improvement programme across the short and long term to enhance the finance function.
