DESCRIPTION

The Department of Materials Science and Engineering in The College of Earth and Mineral Sciences of The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for an Assistant Research Professor. The successful candidate will perform electron microscopy imaging of 2D materials as well as other novel nanostructures. Qualified personnel will have a strong background in transmission electron microscopy imaging and spectroscopy techniques at room and cryogenic temperatures. Candidates must also be highly motivated to lead interactions with collaborators and write proposals for developing novel processes and layer structures for next generation electronic applications. Positions require a Ph.D. in a related field or discipline. This is a fixed-term appointment, funded for one year from the date of hire.
