Position Title:Graphic Design Specialist

Business Unit:Marketing

Reports To:Manager of Marketing Services

Position Overview:

This position is primarily responsible for maintaining the corporation's visual identity by creating ideas that inspire, inform and captivate internal clients, shareholders and customers. The incumbent identifies the needs of the client and works to create solutions that meet those objectives. The incumbent requires strong interpersonal and marketing skills and a keen eye and adept knowledge of electronic media applications. The incumbent is responsible for production and print buying for marketing projects as directed and within budget parameters.

Primary Responsibilities:

Conceptualizes and creates all collateral, brochures, fliers, mailers, newsletters, promotional, advertising, video, website, event and other graphics for the corporation.

Collaborates and works with direction from the Manager of Marketing Services.

Identifies the corporation brand with design concepts while conveying a sophisticated and professional image that is consistent with the corporation's core values and culture.

Documents best practices and updates branding guidelines as necessary. Supports brand identity standards by adhering to policy and procedures for logo use and approvals. Acts as brand steward for in-house client requests.

Proposes creative strategy in collaboration with the Manager of Marketing Services.

Maintains a cohesive visual identity through all corporate materials and implements branding guidelines as appropriate.

Manages production of all Marketing Services projects, writes spec sheets for requests for print quotes, tracks print projects and communicates timeline to all parties.

Maintains an organized, updated and polished design server and archive.

Performs other duties as assigned to support Marketing Services strategies.

Serves as project manager on projects as assigned.

Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.

Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite - CS 5. Knowledge of pre-press, off-set printing, screen-printing, CMYK process and digital printing. Refined typography skills.
