Job Description:

The S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University is seeking an individual to assist in teaching BDJ 665 News Producing and Presenting during the first summer session (5/18/20-6/26/20) (6 credits).

Position description: This position will assist with grading and feedback for students’ sports-related work, including sportscast production and delivery, live sports reporting and web work. They will work closely with the lead professors of both sections that are offered, supplying support and assistance as needed.

Course Description: Students produce television newscasts and file stories to a website. Students rotate in positions including producers (newscast and web), writers, editors, anchors, sports, and weather. The newscasts are delivered on a professional news set.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
