The School of Engineering at the American University in Dubai invites qualified applicants for the position of Assistant/AssociateProfessor of Computer and/or Electrical Engineering to begin teaching in Fall 2019. There are two vacancies - one in the area ofComputer Networks and Cybersecurity, and the other in the area of Digital Electronics, Control and Instrumentation.
The successful candidate will have:
• Undergraduate degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering.
• Ph.D. in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a closely related field from a US accredited institution at the time ofappointment.
• A track record of teaching and research in the relevant area. Industrial experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent English written
The School of Engineering at AUD offers ABET-accredited undergraduate programs leading to Bachelor of Science degrees in Civil,
Computer, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering, and a Master’s program in Construction Management. The compensation package for this position is competitive and is based on the expatriate model. Besides tax-exempt basic salary, itincludes housing, annual two-way airfare, health / life insurance, professional memberships, conference attendance expenses,assistance with children's tuition, and other components.
