We’re growing and looking for a talented Product Data Analyst to come aboard. In this role you will work closely with our Product and Engineering teams to uncover insights about how customers use Snowflake, helping to inform Product decision making and focus Engineering efforts. You will also work on long-running analytical initiatives marked by greater complexity and less structure that will yield substantial product enhancements. This is a strategic, high impact role that will help shape the future of Snowflake products and services.

As a Product Data Analyst at Snowflake you will:

  • Sleuth through large amounts of data to uncover feature-usage patterns, problems with the system, potential performance enhancements, and areas to improve user experience.
  • Build dashboards to help Engineering and Operations monitor performance and availability of our system.
  • Think creatively to find optimal solutions to our complex, often unstructured problems.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and productmanagers to validate product decisions and identify opportunities to created even more value for our customers.
  • Answer the occasional question from Marketing, Sales, and the Executive Team for publications and industry reports.

Our ideal Product Data Analyst will have:

  • 3+ years of experience working with SQL and relational data.
  • 2+ years of experience working with large-scale machine generated data—e.g., log or customer-usage data.
  • Exposure to tools commonly used for data analysis, such as Python (scikit-learn, numpy, and pandas), R, or Julia.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools/frameworks as well as notebooks.
  • Hands-on experience with MPP databases, such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Vertica, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong desire to learn, and an inquisitive mind.
  • Ability to associate and present learnings to business leaders and engineers.
  • The ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. That means being flexible and willing to jump in and do whatever it takes to be successful.
  • There’s no particular degree requirement; however, people with a background in Economics, Statistics, Industrial Operations, Math, Engineering, or CS may be particularly well-suited for the role.
