Responsibilities:
The Department of Psychology at Northeastern University is seeking a qualified applicant to fill a full-time, 12-month position as a Laboratory Technician. Primary responsibilities will include recruitment, data collection, database management, and participant interaction of a federally-funded clinical trial aimed at examining the effects of exercise training on cognitive and brain health in older adults. Specific responsibilities will include the following: marketing, recruiting, and screening participants (35% effort); data collection data entry and database management effective communication with investigators and staff and other duties as assigned The preferred start date for this position is ASAP.
The successful candidate must be able to work independently and will have considerable responsibilities related to the supervision and oversight of all participant recruitment efforts, marketing and advertisement.
Qualifications:
Provide the minimum education,
experience, and skills required to perform the job successfully.
An academic background in Psychology, Health Sciences, Public Health,
Geriatrics, or related field is preferred, but other backgrounds will be
considered. A Bachelor’s degree is required.
Successful candidates will be expected to be highly organized; dependable; familiar with Microsoft Office software; have excellent oral and written communication skills; have an ability to work independently and in a team environment. Excellent and demonstrated interpersonal, time management, and solution focused skills are required
