Key Responsibilities

  • Examining existing software and determines requirements for new/modified systems in the light of business needs
  • Working in Java, Python, Perl, JQuery, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5
  • A passion for writing and coding individual programs according to specifications;
  • Validating the quality of solutions;
  • Updating existing integrations to expose new data and support new product features;
  • undertaking feasibility studies to design software solutions, implementing and evaluating the software;
  • Writing operational documentation and providing subsequent support and training for users and colleagues.

Qualifications

  • A hunger to lead in a continuous learning culture, a desire to solve complex technical challenges, a passion for technology and tech leadership and ultimately a commitment to applying engineering best practices in order to produce top quality solutions.
  • Educated to Degree level in a relevant subject (e.g. Computer Science, Software Engineering or Informatics) or equivalent relevant demonstrable experience;
  • Good flexibility and autonomy, able to overcome blockers, prioritise tasks and jump between multiple jobs and requests;
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with both technical and non-technical people, including commercial partners;
