Responsibilities:
· Current positions are full time positions and will be located at Fort Benning, GA for approx. 18 months and Fort Lee, VA. After the completion of these projects, additional projects are available in other areas. Candidates will need to be flexible with travel for additional projects in other areas.
· Develops project objectives by reviewing and creating work plans, submittals for Superintendent and QC manager on Federal DOD projects.
· Has project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors as assistance to Field Team.
· Reviews project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
· Confirms product performance by designing and conducting required field tests.
· Assists in developing project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
· Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
· Controls project costs by approving expenditures; administering contractor contracts.
· Assists in preparing Budget proposals for Customer. RS Means experience is preferred
· Assists in Minor Design Work using CAD
· Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions to Field team
· Assists Superintendent team in field to monitor progress, perform inspections and manage subcontractors as directed.
· Assists QC Manager team in reviewing Product Submittals for compliance to RFP, Specifications and Drawings and recommending approval/Denial to QC Manager
· Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
· Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements
· Minimum 0-5 years’ experience in the construction industry with a general contractor engaged in general building construction. Federal Experience Preferred
· Knowledge of a wide range of construction materials, methods, and techniques
· Combination of high school diploma with Project Engineer experience and certifications will be considered, prefer B.S. in Construction
· Proficient with computer software used in the construction industry, specifically Microsoft Project, Primavera, RS Means and CAD/BIM Software
· OSHA 30-hour certification
· OSHA HAZWOPER
· Must have knowledge of EM 385
· CPR/First Aid certification
· Ability to speak clearly and exercise good judgment.
· Ability to work under pressure.
· Ability to work remote locations
· Ability to travel and move depending on project locations
· Valid state driver’s license
· Must have strong computer skills in Microsoft Office
