Position Summary
UNT Dallas
– the first public institution of higher education in the city – offers faculty
the unique opportunity to help shape the character of a 21st century,
learner-focused, urban comprehensive university. This tenure-track position
will be responsible for teaching four courses per semester, engaging in high
quality applied research/scholarly activities, and participating in activities
such as curriculum development, student recruiting, program assessment, program
development and leadership, student advising and mentoring, civic engagement
and committee service.
-Teach four courses per semester
-Mentor and advise students
-Prepare teacher candidates for state certification examinations
-Continue a scholarly research agenda
-Engage in curriculum development
-Develop service learning components to courses
-Participate in civic engagement
-Actively support program assessment and improvement
-Actively participate in university and departmental missions
-Collegially support interdisciplinary research and program development
-Collaborate on funding proposals
