Benedictine College invites applications from civil engineers to apply for a full-time position in our growing engineering department. This position at Assistant or Associate Professor rank starts anytime after August, 2017 (We will also consider applicants who are available in January 2018 or August, 2018).

The Benedictine College Engineering Department, in its seventh year, has a unique partnership with the University of North Dakota. Engineering students at Benedictine earn an ABET-accredited degree in Civil, Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering through UND"s Distance Engineering Degree Program as well as a second degree from BC in either General Engineering, Math, Chemistry, Physics, etc. The Engineering Department is growing rapidly (currently over 200 engineering students) and is well on its way to establishing its own ABET-accredited degrees in these four engineering disciplines.

The successful candidate should hold a M.S. or PhD in Civil Engineering. He or she must be willing to teach a variety of general engineering courses, civil engineering courses and laboratories, and participate in the capstone design experience. In addition to these teaching duties, the candidate will be expected to contribute substantially to the development of the BC Engineering Department, particularly in its efforts to establish an ABET-accredited civil engineering degree program. Teaching and industrial experience are desirable.
