Project Engineer, Civil Construction job in New York, Salary $80-$100k, NYCDEP & NYCDDC works, Sewer & Utility

A leading New York heavy civil construction contractor has a fantastic job opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join their dynamic projects team. With an excellent reputation across New York within utilities and underground civil works, this leading contractor has a continuous run of projects all year round. Projects will be across the greater NYC area - Bronx, Queens and Brooklyn.

Your new role

You’re a Project Engineer with a minimum 2+ years’ experience within heavy civil utilities and underground projects, having a specific emphasis on sewers, drainage and excavation works.

You’re familiar with budgeting and cost codes, scheduling, ordering materials, submittals process, RFI’s and change orders, dealing with public agencies such as the NYCDEP and NYCDDC.

You possess excellent communication skills, and the confidence of running utilities & underground projects averaging between $5m-$10m in value.

What you'll need to succeed

A minimum 2+ years’ experience within heavy civil utilities and underground projects such as sewer, drainage and excavation works.

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management and/or an equivalent qualification

Project experience within NYCDDC and NYCDEP works
