The Department of Education at the American University of Beirut invites applications for a tenure-track position in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the assistant professor level to begin January 15, 2019 or August 15, 2019.
Successful candidates are expected to teach and advise diploma and graduate students in educational leadership and policy studies; conduct and publish research; direct graduate students’ research; participate in program review and improvement; supervise internships and practica; develop proposals for extramural funding; participate in outreach educational activities, and take an active role in collaborations with schools and academic life in the department and university.
Applicants must have earned a doctorate from an internationally accredited institution in educational leadership and policy studies or in a closely related field at the time of appointment. Demonstrated experience as an educational leader, preferably in K-12 schools, and teaching experience at the college level are assets.
The language of instruction at AUB is English. Persons with ties to Lebanon or to the region or a specific interest in opportunities to work in the region are especially encouraged to apply.
