perform the following engineering tasks and duties under the direction, supervision, and subject to review by a registered professional engineer: testing of soils and materials for estimation of the adequacy and strength of building foundations, retaining structures, bridges, and culverts; slope stability analysis; evaluation of project feasibility through estimates of the quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor; analysis of survey reports, maps, drawings and other topographical and geological data; engineering evaluation of load and grade requirements; planning and design of transportation systems and structures in accordance with construction and government standards; preparation of proposals based on detailed technical assessment and determination of the projects' scope and price; preparation of geotechnical reports.
Requirements:BS or MS (preferred) in Civil Engineering specializing in geotechnical engineering
Experience with expansive soils, soft soils, shallow and deep foundations, design of retaining walls, soil laboratory testing and field experience related to earthwork activities.
Effective communication and organizational skills.
