Provide day to day technical electrical support, troubleshooting, and project management to a defined operating area.

Job Role Responsibilities

  • Provides day to day, technical electrical support and troubleshooting for a defined geographic or operating area and actively participates with the Operations Business Team to develop, recommend and implement practical solutions to effectively utilize and manage area operating assets
  • Responsible for managing field execution and financial stewardship of facility upgrades and technical maintenance work for operating areas that may include terminals, pipeline, and salt dome storage facilities
  • Includes concurrently managing several projects in various stages of development or execution. Key responsibilities include project scope definition, engineering design, estimate development, material and service procurement, schedule development, and field execution using the project implementation process. Individual projects are generally up to $2M in appropriation
  • Works with facility equipment including motor control centers, control rooms, programmable logic computers (PLC), process control equipment & instrumentation, industrial motors, variable frequency drives, in addition to other electrical related equipment
  • Depending on work location and area of responsibility, position involves between 20% and 50% of time outside of office working with Operations personnel at field operating locations. A portion of the field work may involve travel and overnight stays

Job Requirements

  • Electrical Engineering Degree/ B.S. or M.E. or M.S.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with both technical subject matter experts and field technicians
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn process controls and PLC logic
  • Willingness to support Operations personnel in the field operating location
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight stays to support field operations
