The Production Superintendent reports to Lead Production Engineer and oversees production activities of Statoil operated fields. Monitors production in assigned areas and works to optimize production in a safe, cost-effective manner.
Duties:
A positive leader for a group of Foremen and field personnel.
Assuming responsibility for safety, financial, logistical and operational aspects of production activities and is responsible for the competence of those under his immediate supervision.
Manage operations in conjunction with all department heads to maximize efficiency and uptime
Overseeing all operations in field of responsibility
Works with Lead Engineers, F&C, and Procurement to develop and follow budgets.
Ensure MOC process is applied appropriate in accordance with company requirements
Efficiency improvement & pursuance of personal/company goals.
Ensure compliance with country, federal, state, and/or local requirements – stay abreast of legal environmental issues, audit and enforce adherence and advise management on needed actions
Ensure incident reporting both internally and externally and lead clean-up or other relevant remedial action
Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement
Write standard operating procedures (SOP) for employees to follow in day to day activities
Maintain effective cost control and promote cost awareness in others.
Carry out emergency response role
Attend and lead internal and external meetings as needed.
Attending Hazop & facility design meetings.
Work with direct reports to develop competencies to achieve best in class organization
Ensure all handovers to production are consistent with HSE expectations.
QPA qualified
Review, correct, and sign invoices as required.
Maintain a safe and environmentally friendly work place for staff and contractors.
Ensure direct reports perform duties in accordance with Statoil Policies and Guidelines
Ensure direct reports maintain up to date training requirements
Perform regular safety audits in the field.
Perform duties in accordance with all Statoil policies and guidelines.

5-7 years’ experience in maintenance supervision.
Extensive knowledge and experience with Industry and Best-Practices as applicable.
Demonstrated propensity for identifying and acting on opportunities for innovation and creativity.
High school or secondary education
Comprehensive knowledge of HSE Policies and local, State, & Federal Regulations regarding air emissions, spills, OSRP, Emergency Response, etc.
Overall understanding of cased hole operations pertaining to production.
General knowledge of Safety and Environmental issues.
Overall understanding of surface production facilities and operations.
Ability to deviate from established procedures when special problems or opportunities arise.
Developed knowledge of risk management and safety requirements affecting oil and gas production. Must be detail oriented. Strong mechanical aptitude.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Excellent collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to build productive relationships.
Ability to communicate with all levels. Ability to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines.
Team building skills; organizational and staff development skills. Knowledge of budgeting and expense control.
High degree of initiative and independent judgment.
Demonstrate basic computer knowledge through effective use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office applications. Able to learn company specific applications.
