Assist CAE engineers perform Finite Element and Mold Filling Analysis by building computer models (using shell and solid elements) of plastic components. As the skills improve, this person will perform increasingly more difficult and complex FEA and/or mold filling analyses.
Mixing chemical blends for machine evaluation
Perform some computer aided design (CAD) work using such programs asUnigraphics NX,Solidworks, building geometric 3D models of conceptual designs sketched by design engineers.
Perform project assignments, with the help of application development and CAE engineers to design and develop applications utilizing engineering plastic materials.
Aid in product teardowns and the development of new applications.
Gain experience in the field of engineering plastics product design and development technology
Chemical Engineer Requirements:
Either a minimum of 2 years college coursework in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related area
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Good organizational and planning skills
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Proficient in use of MS Office software (Word/Excel) and able to quickly learn and use internally developed software.
