Provide structural analysis of pipelines including rehabilitation designs using finite element method
Provide an engineering perspective on the results of the internal inspections and of Pure Technologies’ electromagnetic inspections and acoustic monitoring data
Evaluate the remaining useful life of damaged pipelines, analysis and simulation of soil-structure interaction using Finite Element Method, and nonlinear finite element analysis and modeling of structures anomalies
Production of engineering reports for Pure Technologies clients
Occasional travel, extended at times, for field investigations and inspections
Hands-on internal and external pipeline inspections, pipe dissections, materials sampling and rehabilitation of pipes
Required Skills
Master of Science with 2 years of work experience in Mechanical or Civil Engineering field, or PhD in Engineering
Completion of structural engineering coursework
Excellent computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and computer aided drafting experience
Experience working with finite element analyses software (ie. Abaqus or Ansys)
Knowledge of fracture mechanics, concrete and steel structures
Work experience in concrete and steel design; Geotechnical engineering training preferred
Ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience developing clear and concise written reports and documentation
