The Accounts Payable Staff Accountant provides a variety of routine accounting activities in accordance with standard accounting practices. Expedites and supports the general accounting process, including applications, data entry, running checks and filing. May contact managers in other departments to resolve problems.

This opportunity has come about due to an internal promotion. We are looking to conduct interviews in December with a view to starting in early January

We will consider people wanting a full time role (37.5 hours per week) and people wanting to work on a part time basis - core hours 10am to 3pm.

Responsibilities

To run all aspects of the UK Accounts Payable function including:-

  • Input of invoices into Net Suite
  • Controlling the setup of new suppliers
  • Main point of contact for dealing with supplier questions
  • Supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Making payments through online banking system and distributing payment remittances
  • Helping run a purchase order process for all UK suppliers.

Requirements

Employee expenses work including:-

  • Performing the finance checks on employee expense claims.
  • Assisting employees on expense claims queries
  • Providing training on how to complete and approve expense claims
  • Reconciling the company credit card expenses statements
  • Month-end tasks
  • Control and reconciliation of petty cash account
  • Reconciliation of bank account

Other

  • Helping UK FC with adhoc cost analysis requests
  • Assisting with improvements to accounts payable systems and procedures

Requirements:

  • Must have previous experience of working in a accounts payable role.
  • Must have a basic understanding of accounting
  • Must have excel skills to an intermediate level.
  • Must have a confident manner and good communication skills for dealing with suppliers
  • Must be have good time management skills and be able to manage their work load in a fast changing environment.
