The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the American University of Beirut (AUB) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the area of Water Resources Engineering, preferably at the level of Assistant Professor. Applications for a visiting position at all ranks may also be considered.

The successful candidate must hold a Doctoral Degree in Civil Engineering or related field and must demonstrate potential for quality research and teaching. Research interests may encompass one or more of the following: theoretical aspects of water flow and transport, hydrological processes and climate change, experimental hydraulics and instrumentation, or integrative data analysis.

The candidate is expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, as part of the Civil and Environmental Engineering curricula, and must demonstrate strong research potential that will lead to external funding and scholarly publications. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to interact with faculty in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department and across the AUB campus.
