We are looking for a motivated project manager to join our West Union, Iowa, team. We are a group of talented, trustworthy and skilled people who are passionate about what we do and enjoy providing personalized attention to our clients. Oh, and, we like to have fun.
What you’ll do
You will be responsible for the successful completion of client projects and will draw on the firm’s internal and external resources to provide an efficient, profitable and timely project execution. You will be the primary contact with the client, which plays a key role in our business development and includes preparing statements of qualifications, pre-proposal contracts, proposal preparation and presentations, and client maintenance.
You will be responsible for accurately invoicing the client, including explanations necessary for items billed, and for necessary follow-up on accounts receivable. You will be responsible for the execution of the firm’s Quality Control program as it applies to the assigned projects and clients. You will be expected to effectively solicit prospects and clients to add business for the firm.
What it takes
This position requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant discipline or similar degree with appropriate experience, including an associate degree in engineering technology. Discipline examples might be Engineering, Geology, Water Resources, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Environmental Science or Survey. If you have five or more years of progressive experience, we’re interested. You should speak and write well – something we take seriously. You should have prior supervision and client relations experience with a demonstrated ability to lead people. Proven business development and client relationship management experience is a must.
