Duties & Responsibilities
Job Summary:The Senior Engagement & Communications Specialist is responsible for overseeing communications, outreach, and engagement regarding graduate education
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify market driven viable graduate degree programs
- oversee plans for marketing Grad Programs
- oversee OGS website
- Participate in community outreach and engagement (i.e. identify need for additional support services and possible resources, develop/strengthen partnerships, support Colleges, Centers and Institutes)
- Oversee International Students Affairs ( applications, Visas, accommodations, etc.); publish findings and experiences with the QU postgraduate programs to share with the international community and to maintain visibility in the international scene
- liaise with graduate programs to market graduate student events and activities across campus
- Oversee the organization of expert seminars (onsite or by video conference) to share experiences with leading institutions around the world
- Oversee guest and visiting students’ affairs (Visas, accommodation, etc.) and oversee Open Day arrangements.
- Perform other tasks and duties that may be occasionally required in order to meet the requirements of the role and the aims of the University.
Qualifications
Education and Certifications:- Master degree from a reputable university in communications, marketing, or related field is required
- PhD Preferred
Languages:
- Arabic is required
- English is required
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in communications, marketing, and/or engagement
- Experience in a university setting
- Gulf experience is highly desirable
