The Department of Art and Design at the School of Architecture & Design invites applicants for part-time faculty position for fall 2019. Applicants should have teaching experience and demonstrate expertise relevant to the below course:
GRDE430 / Typography III [2-2, 3 cr.]
Course Description
This advanced level studio course explores the intricacies of typography. It focuses on bilingual typeface design through typographic experimentation. Emphasis is placed upon a thorough understanding of nuances in structure and proportion in relation to Arabic and Latin typefaces and Bilingual layout systems.
Course Purpose
- Acquire an in depth understanding of Latin and Arabic type anatomy and classifications
- Create a coherent bilingual font that is implemented in Glyphs or Fontlab
- Design a type specimen as a promotion tool
- Designing bilingual typographic posters

Minimum Requirements: Candidates should have an MFA or MA in graphic design or related fields.
Duration of position:This position will open in fall 2019 (which starts on August 28 and ends on December 6, 2019).
