Job Description The Center for Communications and IT Research at KFUPM is seeking to fill research position with potential candidates showing ability and desire for excellence in Data Science research and applications.
Job Responsibility
• Design, develop, and deploy data-driven analytical solutions to solve business problems using the latest and most appropriate technologies in machine learning, statistical modeling, and business intelligence• Lead a team of data scientists and support them in their professional development by coaching them in best practices and giving guidance for the algorithm development in close cooperation with engineers and stakeholders
• Create compelling proposals with technologists and business to drive innovation from conception to production with appropriate success metrics
• Lead all projects from a data science perspective, removing obstacles and taking ownership to find creative solutions
• Communicate key analytic findings within the business to senior stakeholders

Qualifications
• A Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Statistics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field• Inspirational communication and motivational leadership skills
• The ability to set clear and reachable goals, and measure the success of the team
• An exceptional understanding of data analysis and statistics concepts, as well as experience applying them
• Experience processing and deriving insight from large amounts of data
• 3-5 years of experience in Data Science and Machine Learning
• Previous leadership experience is a plus
