Position Summary
The Clinical Psychophysiology Lab (cpl.psy.msu.edu) in the Department of Psychology seeks a research associate (postdoctoral researcher) in clinical psychophysiology focused on multi-method approaches – including behavior, EEG/ERP, fMRI, and peripheral physiology (e.g., startle eyeblink, heart rate, skin conductance) – to cognitive and affective mechanisms in anxiety and related psychopathology.
The position will center on an NIH-funded study that examines associations between anxiety-related problems and cognitive-control and working memory across the menstrual cycle. The position offers excellent training in EEG/ERP neuroimaging methods, including advanced signal processing techniques such as phase-synchrony and bivariate and multivariate functional connectivity approaches. The trainee will be supervised by Dr. Jason Moser (MSU Department of Psychology; Clinical Psychology, Cognitive and Cognitive Neuroscience, and Neuroscience programs).

Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. in clinical, cognitive, social psychology, neuroscience, or related field.
Desired Qualifications
-Doctoral degree in psychology (clinical, social, cognitive)
or neuroscience.
-Substantive interests in anxiety research and goal of developing expertise in
EEG/ERP and psychophysiology.
-Strong computer programming skills (e.g., Eprime, Matlab, etc.).
