The Maroun Semaan Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at the American University of Beirut (AUB) invites applications for a cross-disciplinary tenure-track faculty position in engineering. We seek candidates whose research bridges diverse disciplines using novel approaches, and that tackles pressing societal challenges. The successful candidate will have also demonstrated initiative in innovative educational programs in engineering.
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in Engineering, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field. The successful candidate will be expected to teach required courses in one or more engineering discipline, and to develop undergraduate electives and graduate courses that attract students from more than one engineering discipline. The candidate must demonstrate strong research potential that can lead to external funding and scholarly publications.
