Enviva is a seeking a Civil Engineer to perform the following responsibilities:

  • Support the project on site as needed to ensure that a project is completed on time and within budget.
  • Review all relevant requirements around issues such as building permits, environmental regulations, sanitary design, and safety on all work assignments.
  • Undertake technical and feasibility studies and site investigations.
  • Participate in the tendering process.
  • Review and approve project drawings; Resolve design and development problems.
  • Review and add input to the scheduling of material and equipment purchases.
  • Manage, supervise and visit contractors on site and advise on civil engineering issues.
  • Incorporate change management procedures, and ensure all key stakeholders are notified of changes in the project.

    • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 – 10 years’ experience with a combination of office and project field assignments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required, a specialty in Civil Engineering is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in review of site paving and layout, grading and storm drainage, erosion and sediment control and underground utilities.
  • Proficient in engineering calculations from storm water flows (hydrology), erosion control, sewer and underground piping.
  • Ability to listen and respect others while participating in a team environment with coworkers, subcontractors, contracting civil engineers and consultants.
  • Skilled in using computer-aided design (CAD) packages for drawing review.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
