The QCT Hardware Engineering Compute team is looking for an Operations Research Analysts with industry and leadership experience. You will be responsible for leading an existing talented team that provides predictive analytics of our global computing environment for the purpose of resource optimization & planning, what-if analysis, and forecasting. You will also be expected to lead the design and development of simulation models that enable others to assess the impact of changes to the computing environment or workloads within it.

The ideal candidates will have experience working in an EDA or manufacturing environment. You must have a strong background in data analysis, data visualization, predictive analysis, optimization, simulation, and programming. You will be hands-on and comfortable workings in an environment where problems are not always well-defined, have strong communication & interpersonal skills and readily engage in solving problems within a highly collaborative environment.

Skills/Experience

  • Experience with a statistical analysis package and visualization tools such as Excel, SAS, S-Plus, or R preferred
  • Experience with data query and analysis tools such as SQL and Excel
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and reporting/BI tools (e.g. Cognos, QlikView) ideal
  • Strong business acumen, critical thinking ability, and attention to detail
  • Presentation skills, including the use of meaningful charts, graphs, or other data visualizations to convey information and results clearly and concisely
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to explain technical concepts and analysis implications in a clear manner to a wide audience
  • Leadership experience with direct reports

Education Requirements Required: BS degree in Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics or Computational Engineering

Preferred: Master degree in Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics or Computational Engineering
