The Role: We are looking for an Environmental Consultant to join our talented team in the UK, preferably in London. The candidate will support or lead in the delivery of environmental liability management commissions, specifically, site characterisation / remediation projects for our Key Industrial Clients around the globe, specifically, UK, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany and India. As such there will be opportunities for international travel.

Responsibilities:-

  • Support/Lead multi-site international environmental liability management in the industrial manufacturing, chemical and pharmaceutical sector, specifically Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, India
  • Support/Lead/Manage projects of differing sizes to technical financial, and commercial expectation in accordance with company policies.
  • Managing Packages of work
  • Managing / supporting on multi-site international environmental liability management in the industrial sector
  • Factual and Interpretative Reporting.
  • Supporting project management in developing new business and preparation of commercial offers.
  • Detailed understanding of Site Characterisation techniques
  • Manage / Supporting the safe delivery of geo-environmental site investigations for soil sampling and ground gas/vapour/leachate/groundwater and surface water monitoring/sampling.
  • Interpretative Reporting

  • The minimum qualifications for this position are:
  • Familiar with working on overseas projects with remote teams

  • Familiarity with working for Multinational Corporate Remediation Groups
  • Detailed understanding of Site Characterisation techniques. Able to lead the safe delivery of geo-environmental site investigations for soil sampling and ground gas/vapour/leachate/groundwater and surface water monitoring/sampling.
  • Familiar with soil/groundwater remediation technologies, design, procurement of subcontractors, implementation, and verification.
  • Ideally you will have experience of construction management, management or supervision of remediation under a variety of contract forms. It is not essential, but desired to have remediation system design experience.
  • Compliance with Health and Safety Policies and Procedures, including preparation of H&S Plans for site investigation and managing health and safety on site.
  • Able to support in the development of new business and preparation of commercial offers.
