Position Summary

The Michigan State University College of Nursing is seeking forward thinking CRNAs who have experience or an interest in anesthesia education and clinical practice to join our growing program. These part time positions are responsible for didactic and clinical instruction to nurse anesthesia students. In addition to teaching, position responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Implement curriculum as assigned by the Program Director

· Assist the Program Director in the coordination of doctoral projects

· Participate in the recruitment, selection and admission of applicants

· Participates in college and program strategic planning and evaluation

· Supports and facilitates a culturally, racially and ethnically diverse education environment

· Represent the program at local, state and national meetings

· Ensure adherence to policies and procedures outlined in the College Student Handbooks

· Supports university-wide initiatives and strategic goals

Required Degree

Doctorate -in Nursing or related field

Minimum Requirements

In addition to a doctorate in Nursing or related field, an active certification/recertification as a CRNA; at least two years of clinical experience as a CRNA; knowledge of CRNA practice and professional issues and current specialty licensure in the State of Michigan (CRNA) or eligible to obtain a Michigan licensure are required.
