Performs civil and structural design for LNG and other natural gas related facilities
Duties
Interface with clients; the development of bid specifications, qualifying, managing and interfacing with subcontractors
Analyzes reports, maps, drawings, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design projects
Calculates cost and determines feasibility of project based on analysis of collected data
Prepares or directs preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for project
Inspects construction site to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications, and construction and safety standards
Directs construction and maintenance activities at project site
Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
Qualifications
An understanding of the interrelation of civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines on construction projects is a plus
Experience in LNG, LPG, and/or natural gas is preferred, but applicable non-gas, industrial or utility experience will be considered
Experience with industrial site design and construction
MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint
AutoCAD Civil experience a plus
Multi-tasking, manage deadlines
Ability to travel locally and nationally, potentially 10%-15% of the time
