We are now looking to recruit a VIE (International Voluntary Experience) as Accounting Processes Analystwithin our Shared Services Centre (SSC) to provide the UK and Ireland businesseswith high quality and cost competitive supplier ledger management. This VIE reports directly to the AP/AR Manager and is based at Wantage (UK) for an initial duration of 18 months up to 24 months max.

The successful candidate will assist the AP/AR Manager in the efficient and effective running of the Accounts Payable department. You will develop the Accounts Payable processes through automation and best practice to ensure that they continue to stay ahead of the Service Level requirements of each business. The AP department serves businesses in each sector of the UK and Ireland including Engineering and Technology.

Your main missions will be to develop the Accounts Payable processes to optimise efficiency within the team. you will become the SSC “champion” for technological expertise on the ERP (JD Edwards and Sage) and supporting systems (Concur, Workflow) used in the AP processes. You will apply best practice within the European Shared Services by benchmarking with other SSC’s. You will review the AP services with each of the businesses through regular site visits. You will manage and improve the process of logged invoices, agree targets with the businesses and review performance on a monthly basis using the published “League tables”.

A specific mission during the VIE will be dedicated to travel expenses processes. As such, you will develop the Concur travel and expenses system to provide data for the annual PSA. you will provide the UK businesses with a comprehensive report on Company travel costs. You will be the point of contact for technical assistance to the UK Concur users.

Job Requirements

To perform effectively in the job, and as a member of the UK SSC organisation, the ideal candidate has a high profile with potential to grow within the organization. A graduate from a Business School with a specialisation in Financial Accounting, you have already gained proven accounting experience. You have the ability to work and to communicate effectively within a diverse cultural environment. You have ideally experience with JDE, Sage or other ERP system. You are computer literate with an interest in systems. You have fluent English and preferably one other European language. You have flexibility to travel in the UK. Candidates must be available immediately. Training and development as appropriate will be agreed with the UK SSC Manager and made available.
