Due to continuing growth of the practice, an exciting opportunity for a Business Services Accountant has arisen. Working with a high-performance team you'll be working with our clients in a variety of areas including taxation advisory, business structuring, corporate compliance and management consulting.

Working with Conquest Services you will be exposed to a varied client base. Most of Conquest Services' clients have a turnover in the range of $25-30m, so in addition to the normal compliance aspect of Business Services, you will also be providing a range of management accounting services and structuring advice.

Additionally, as a Business Services Accountant at Conquest Services, you will be exposed to a variety of industries, business structures and clients.

More specifically the role will encompass:

  • Preparation of tax compliance work (financial statements, income tax returns, BAS/IAS, FBT returns, payroll tax etc)
  • Preparation of financial statements;
  • Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory agencies on behalf of clients;
  • Working with a range of entities including companies, trusts, partnerships, sole traders and super funds;
  • Preparation of budgets and fee estimates for client work;
  • Management of ATO lodgement, ASIC and other client tax payment due dates;
  • Assisting with client advisory under the guidance of a Manager/Supervisor.

About you

The right candidate should be ambitious, hardworking, diligent and have a high attention to detail. Additionally, we are looking for an individual who:

  • Is action orientated, and loves to make things happen;
  • Will bring with them at least 2 years of experience gained from working in a fast-paced Chartered Accounting/Business Services firm;
  • Has or is working towards being CA/CPA qualified;
  • Has experience with a variety of accounting packages like MYOB, Quickbooks and Xero;
  • Is technically strong with comprehensive knowledge of the tax system;
  • Enjoys helping people and is committed to delivering exceptional client experiences;
  • Is highly organised and has superior attention to detail;
  • Has a high level of motivation to succeed;
  • Likes to work in a team environment, having fun and being social.
