Job Description:
The Department of Psychology at Syracuse University invites applications for a full time, non-tenure track position at the rank of assistant teaching professor beginning August 2019. The initial appointment may be for up to three years, and is renewable dependent on program need and instructor performance.
A candidate in this position should be able to teach at least one graduate course in social psychology, and undergraduate courses in social psychology and introductory psychology. Other courses may be offered according to one’s specialization. Further, candidates should demonstrate excellence in cultural competence, including the ability to communicate effectively with people across cultures. A successful candidate will demonstrate or have the potential to demonstrate excellence in both pedagogy and teaching. As with all faculty positions, there is an expectation to engage in service in the department, college, & university and to advise students
Qualifications:
Ph. D. in relevant field required, Ph. D. in social psychology preferred.
