JOB PURPOSEThe Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of Sharjah invites applicants for full-time permanent faculty position at the Associate Professor rank.
REQUIRED SKILLS
-Develop and Teach BSc., MSc. and PhD Courses as well as undergraduate courses.-Supervise PhD and MSc students.
-Contribute to the PhDCE program development.
-Engage in Community service, including serving the profession.
-Contribute to undergraduate and graduate programs accreditation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum qualification includes a PhD degree in Civil Engineering (Construction Engineering and Management) and a graduate education record combining course work and research as well as a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable and accredited institution of higher education.
COMPETENCIES
Demonstrated excellent track record in research and high quality publications as well as demonstrated leadership of funded research projects, ability to teach a diverse range of undergraduate and graduate subjects and do research in construction engineering and management specialty including but not limited to topics such as BIM, construction automation, IoT applications and smart sustainable infrastructure management etc., Demonstrated contributions to graduate program development, research record in a specific area of specialization consistent with academic experience, keen interest in teaching and learning, working knowledge of relevant program accreditation systems. Evidence of team work, collaboration and positive contributions to work environment.
