Description:
Looking for an exceptional Backend / Systems Engineer to join its Implementation Team.
The candidate is expected to work with data scientists and front end developers to build back-end services and/or ETLs depending on the requirements. Ideal candidate would possess a proven track record of building software that is designed with to easily incorporate changes and is scalable.
Moreover, the candidate needs to understand ETL concepts (prior exposure/experience is extremely helpful) as well as ability to apply technical expertise to system design and development.
Python: Must have at least 3 years of experience with data engineering in Python.
At least 3 years of experience building back-end services or APIs in Python.
Requirements:
Work with data scientists, actuaries and statisticians to understand quantitative models and implement these as services or batch processes. Build back-end services that are scalable and easily modifiable by writing modular code, using configuration files and parameterization among other techniques
Work with front-end developers to understand how these models will be displayed and used in the front end and tune services accordingly. Design and implement custom scripts in a various technologies such as Python, shell, etc. to monitor execution. Utilize best practices for Unit Testing, logging and anticipate points of failure. Implement appropriate error handling and audit logic where necessary.
Troubleshoot process execution problems and work with other team members to correct them
