The role is a Senior Buyer position which sits within the Finance function of the organisation. Day to day duties will vary, working across the private sector and a range of categories including, but not limited to Inventory (electronic devices), IT, Facilities, Logistics and Marketing. The nature of requirements will vary dependent on individual requirements but may include: Opportunity Assessment, Savings Delivery, Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, Contract and Supplier Relationship Management and Transformation. As a company we have operations in the US, the UK, Finland and Romania. Your remit will incorporate all of these territories.
Responsibilities
- Utilise tools and methodologies alongside specialist knowledge to deliver procurement processes, procurement projects and support the objectives of the organisation.
- Utilise creativity and innovations to deliver maximum value cost improvements and benefits to internal stakeholders.
- Create effective working relationships with stakeholders and sponsors to deliver allocated projects, anticipating and responding to requirements, influencing change, managing conflicts and issues and escalating to senior colleagues when required.
- Assist in deployment of contract management and SRM principles.
- Actively develop expertise across a number of Categories.
Requirements
- Commitment to service and delivery excellence.
- Displays high degree of personal effectiveness, able to maintain pace of delivery and work simultaneously across projects and engagements.
- Project management skills with some exposure to change management and transformation.
- Bring innovative and fresh thinking in procurement delivery.
- Breadth of Procurement expertise including category management & strategy development, strategic sourcing & savings delivery
- Good interpersonal and engagement skills with ability to support and positively challenge stakeholders and deliver negotiations.
- A clear, concise communicator with strong presentation skills (oral and written) and ability to positively influence.
- Generalist Category experience.

- Experience in procurement of multiple categories.
- Demonstrates track record of developing and maintaining senior stakeholder and supplier relationships.
- Demonstrates track record in supplier selection, negotiation, implementation and contract management delivering cost/ savings targets.
- Will have worked in a complex and changing environment with demanding business objectives
- Has knowledge of sourcing across multiple categories.
- Is innovative, self-starter and results orientated as well as understands the "value-add" procurement professional.
