The Department of Mass Communication (MCM) at American University of Sharjah (AUS) seeks an adjunct lecturer in mass communication to teach one introductory media literacy class in Spring 2020. Candidates must have a PhD or MA in Mass Communication with teaching experience in the field. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in teaching mass communication at the university level in a liberal arts environment.

The mass communication program at AUS is one of the most vibrant and successful programs of its kind in the region. The program offers a wide range of mass communication and media studies courses as both major requirements and major electives and in fulfillment of the general mass communication area of the program.

AUS is located in the emirate of Sharjah, adjacent to Dubai, UAE. Founded in 1997 by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qassimi, AUS is an independent, not-for-profit coeducational university in the Gulf, serving some 5,500 students of 82 nationalities. Our mass communication program at AUS is accredited by the UAE Commission of Higher Education and the US Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
