So what does a Water / Sediment Quality Project Manager at Michael Baker International do?

As a part of our Project Management team, the Project Manager will manage projects through a Program Management General Engineering Contract (GEC). The projects included in these GEC offer a wide range of services to suit existing strengths and develop new skills. Possible projects include elements of water and sediment special studies, field work sample and data collection, design of public and private drainage systems, NPDES permitting,and H&H analysis. The Project Manager will act as the design task leader for storm-water projects; responsibility for task budget and schedules; attending and actively participating in client meetings; assisting in developing marketing proposals.

Can you walk me through a typical day of a Project Manager?

*You will demonstrate technical ability in design of common water resources task such as design of storm water management systems, pipe hydraulics, bridge hydraulics, scour, floodplain evaluation, sediment quality objectives, and show experience with NPDES Permit Compliance both in documentation (i.e. SWMP documents) and design of water quality BMPs.

*You will work closely with the clients on projects as part of a multi-discipline team.

*You will develop project scope of work documents and project plans that include an analysis of benefit, cost, work schedule, and any related risks.

Could you be the Project Manager we are looking for?

*You'll need a four year degree.

*You'll need a PE in California.

*You'll need a minimum of 7 years of experience in related water/sediment quality, stormwater, and water resources.

*Naturally, you'll need computer skills (Microsoft Office), analysis software such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, Flo-2D and SWMM models, Microstation, AutoCAD, and MS Project.

*California Stormwater Quality Association QSD Qualification is encouraged but not required.
