Job Description:
The Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs seeks a part-time instructor to teach 1 open section of Sociology 305-Sociology of Sex and Gender Fall ’19 (3 credits).
Course Description: This course focuses on the social forces shaping women’s and men’s lives in contemporary societies. Changing gender expectations. Intersections of gender with race and ethnicity, class & age. Social movements for women’s and men’s liberation.
Qualifications:
A minimum of an MA in Sociology or a closely related discipline. Preference will be given to ABD & PhD level students from our program and to those who have taught for us previously.
Job Specific Qualifications:
Evidence of effective teaching experience is necessary.
