Project Manager

The Project Manager at Feedzai has 5+ years of Project Management experience with technical projects leading development teams through the Agile/Scrum process. If you accept our offer for this job, your public title will be Project Manager. This position will be based out of our New York, NY offices with required travel to the client location(s).

Travel Requirements:

  • New York, NY home office
  • All client engagements are typically 9-12 months long
  • First 3 months of the project requires 100% travel at the client location which can be located anywhere in the USA to ramp up on the project. During this time we do offer fully furnished corporate housing as well as once a month travel expenses to visit friends and family on the weekends
  • The rest of the engagement is 50% travel and 50% based in the New York office
  • Once your project has ended, you will be assigned to a new project and repeat the travel requirements

About the job:

The Senior Project Manager role requires a combination of Technical and Client Engagement skills. Individuals in this role must combine tactical execution skills with strategic expertise to lead cross-functional teams through pre-sales, kick off, and deployment. Project Managers are the client’s primary point of contact, so you must have strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical details into business terms.

The ideal Senior Project manager is able to juggle multiple priorities, which include but are not limited to; project planning, risk management, internal/external communication, and oversight of the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have the ability to understand client requirements and prioritize them with cross-functional teams. We are looking for a Project Manager who is a clear communicator, incredibly organized and demonstrates strong passion for project delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical teams consisting of software engineers and data scientists
  • Lead pre-sales meetings, discovery workshops, story boarding
  • Communicate project status including timeline, risks, delays, and the overall progress to select key stakeholders.
  • Define and assess project risks, both technical and non-technical in nature and effectively deploy mitigation plans
  • Lead the scrum team in sprint planning and backlog grooming. Must have experience leading daily stand ups
  • Lead a project from start to finish, working with teammates from strategy, business analysis, development and quality assurance in a variety of projects.
  • Act as a consultant to clients by understanding their expectations and requirements and effectively communicating across functional teams

Must have Qualifications:

  • Must have experience managing projects for external clients
  • BA or BS degree from an accredited university
  • 5+ years of Project Management with at least 2 of those years managing technical projects
  • Must demonstrate clear and concise writing ability in different communication mediums (email, formal client-facing documents, etc...
  • Must have experience managing software engineers, being on a delivery team a huge plus.

  • Experience with pre-sales meetings

  • Experience with story boarding
  • Experience with the full SDLC on multiple fast-paced projects
  • Experience working on projects that move quickly that have ever-changing process and structure
  • Demonstrated skills in leadership, adaptability, problem solving, and critical thinking
  • Experience authoring, red-lining, and executing SOW and RFP documents
  • Be able to control client expectations and push-back when necessary to ensure the success of the project
  • Be solution oriented, and when issues arise, be able to roll up sleeves and tackle them with a ‘get it done’ attitude
  • The ability to cultivate relationships with clients.
  • Experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall SDLC methodologies
  • Familiarity with MS Project
  • Savvy with JIRA
