These lecture notes on “Probability” were prepared and delivered to my undergraduate students studying Animal Genetics & Breeding course. This course was offered during the academic year 2019-20 in the second professional year of Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry degree at College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, S.V.P.U.A.T, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India. This lecture provides basic terminology and concept on probability. Various basic laws and theorems related to probability were also introduced along with explanatory examples. This lecture paves the foundation and linkage between deive and inferential statistics thus making it valuable for students to understand forthcoming lectures.
