 With almost 300,000 alumni at the University of Georgia (UGA), it can be difficult to serve all career-related needs. While we cannot reach every alumnus at UGA, we can provide virtual programming that engages alumni all over the world. Virtual opportunities used to engage the alumni population include webinars, skype/phone appointments, virtual networking events, and LinkedIn. Using these modes of technology allow for both alumni networking and career exploration as well as allow students to connect with alumni for career advice. Learn how UGA's one-person alumni career services office engages over 800 alumni per year through virtual programming and over 300 alumni through in-person and virtual counseling appointments. Also, learn how to effectively collaborate with campus partners and how to invite alumni to share their expertise through webinars.

Following this program, you will be able to:

  • Identify effective technology platforms to engage your alumni audience;
  • Create campus collaborations to engage alumni in networking activities; and
  • Develop opportunities to engage alumni through webinars and other virtual networking events with current UGA students.
Format:
During this one-hour webinar, the presenter will deliver a synchronized audio and PowerPoint presentation. Participants will have time for live Q&A throughout the program and may be asked to contribute opinions or feedback via live chat, virtual polling, and other mechanisms.
